Any suggestions please? i have a very wiggly swimmer, freestyle, 11 yr old girl, she no longer over reaches, does not cross body with hands and her head is very still. Her hip movement is as much as 10 inch from side to side( 5 inch off central line).
if i could video her you would not believe the speed she swims at, with so much side to side wiggling.
any ideas welcome?

Just a suggestion but try her swimming on her side, hand extended, head down and doing 6 kicks each side before snapping across to the other side. She will have to engage her core and keep good posture to swim straight

Cheers GW. she does a lot of that drill, and 10kicks to 1 pull, trust me this wiggle is unbelievable, my own daughters had slight problem but overcame it with simular drills, I will persivere and monitor her until its cured......you no what its like....you just can't let go once it becomes noticable.
Don't want her to become paranoid about it.

I was currently working with a 9 year old who had this issue. I had her focus on her Distance per Stroke and also having her focus on a early vertical elbow as soon as her arm was fully extended. The combination of the two seemed to work.
